What is the Alabama Joint Purchasing (ALJP) Program?
The Alabama K‐12 Joint Purchasing (ALJP) Program has been in place since 2004. Soon after the passage of the Title 16 Chapter 61E INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY JOINT PURCHASE AGREEMENTS, the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) and Local Education Agencies (LEAs) across the State of Alabama began a program by which information technologies may be made available to leverage and aggregate the purchasing power of LEAs across the State.
