Applications are now open for the 2026 ALEX Resource Development Summit, a two-day, in-person workshop taking place June 15–16, 2026, in Huntsville, Alabama. Selected participants will also have the option to receive complimentary registration for the Alabama Educational Technology Conference, scheduled for June 17–19.
The Summit is designed for Alabama K–12 educators who are passionate about developing student-centered, interactive classroom experiences aligned to the Alabama Course of Study. Participants will receive guided support from ALEX staff and collaborate with fellow educators while developing two complete, classroom-ready lesson plans using the ALEX Learning Object Repository (LOR).
During the application process, applicants will select one of the following subject-area tracks:
Digital Literacy & Computer Science (DLCS) – aligned to the 2025 Alabama DLCS Course of Study
Social Studies – aligned to the 2024 Alabama Social Studies Course of Study
Regardless of track selection, participants will use the ALEX LOR to create and refine two comprehensive lesson plans that meet all requirements of the ALEX Lesson Plan Checklist and reflect best practices in instructional design, inquiry-based learning, and student engagement.
